swissQprint has been developing and producing high-quality large-format printers since 2007. The company started with five employees, including the three founders. Today (as of December 2021), a 125 employee strong team in Kriessern stands behind the swissQprint name, which is a recognised seal of quality for digital printing technology. Another 60 employees work in the company’s own sales companies in Germany, Belgium, Spain, Great Britain, Japan, and the USA. This is in addition to a worldwide dealer network covering a total of 40 countries.
The majority of its customers are in the graphic arts industry. They use the printers to produce, for example, advertising banners, posters and billboards, glass kitchen backsplashes, murals, or personalised puzzles. But industrial companies such as Siemens, Bosch and Airbus also rely on swissQprint when it comes to labelling or illustrating products and components.
swissQprint is an owner-managed company. The founders are still operational. Agility is a strength of the company, which is one of the innovators in digital printing technology. 25 per cent of the workforce at the Swiss headquarters is involved in research and development. Right next door to production. This means that new ideas and improvements flow quickly into series production. So that users can always rely on state-of-the-art solutions.
The printing systems from swissQprint are built on a common foundation of features: Swiss quality, high precision, and a robust modular design. In addition, the machines impress with their wide range of applications. They print on practically every possible and seemingly impossible material. All this gives the user design freedom and competitive advantages. With seven models, swissQprint covers various productivity levels and needs.
Over 90 per cent of the approximately 2200 machine parts are manufactured in Switzerland and over 80 per cent of the approximately 200 suppliers are Swiss companies, most of them from the region. Long-standing relationships with suppliers enable swissQprint to adapt quickly to market changes and ensure the high quality of its products.
swissQprint offers state-of-the-art workplaces and exciting tasks as well as apprenticeships in various professions at the Schützenwiese in Kriessern. The employees are fascinated by the global orientation of the company, which has its roots in the Rhine Valley. They also appreciate the bright, spacious, air-conditioned rooms and the modern infrastructure. Last but not least, they also appreciate the rural environment, which offers a high quality of life.
